A question we often answer is: where is Anna Maria Island located? Our little 7-mile-long barrier reef island is located on the West Coast of Florida. Situated about an hour south of Tampa Bay and just north of Sarasota and Siesta Key.
A Little More Information About Anna Maria Island
Anna Maria Island is easily accessible by car thanks to two draw bridges connecting it to the mainland. The Cortez Bridge connects you to the southern end of AMI called Bradenton Beach and the Anna Maria Island Bridge (or Manatee Bridge as the locals refer to it) takes you to Holmes Beach.
Our little Island is separated into three different municipalities: Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and The City of Anna Maria. Each part of AMI has its own special charm and we recommend visiting all three during your trip to Anna Maria Island. The free Island Trolley is a great and easy way to get around and explore without having to find parking or worry about renting a car.
