THE HISTORY OF HOLMES BEACH
The City of Holmes Beach was established in the middle of the island and incorporated in 1950. Home to the popular Manatee Public Beach - this is the epicenter of our little beach town with all of the amenities you could hope for while visiting.
Holmes Beach doesn't just offer incredible beaches but it's also where you will find the only grocery store on the island--Publix! You'll find lots of great shopping here at amazing local boutiques, incredible dining and some phenomenal places to stay!
Like Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach offers easy accessibility with the Anna Maria Island Bridge providing easy transportation to and from the island.
